My name is Glenn and I am a street photographer from Amsterdam.

On the streets I look for real unfiltered life and the real moments of the people who make the city. My camera is my window to everyday reality: a play of light, sound and spontaneity that unfolds again and again in the streets of Amsterdam. For me, every photo revolves around honesty, empathy and real life.

What I do : I shoot urban street photography. I capture spontaneous moments that give character to the daily life of the people in Amsterdam. Stories from all corners of town: from the morning fever in the supermarket to a silent scene along the canals, always looking for that invisible human connection. Authenticity above all: no staged moments, but pure uncensored experiences that show who we are in all our diversity.

My approach : I try to capture unstaged moments, mostly candid and unnoticed or use a respectful approach with discretion and empathy so that people feel comfortable and I can capture sincere moments. I make use of refined timing and pay attention to subtle gestures, eye contact and small rituals that tell a story. I use natural light and a minimalist arrangement to preserve the essence of the moment.

Technology and workflow : My camera is compact and discreet, so I can work fairly unnoticed. Lenses: a fast standard lens for street scenes and details, with a light tele for remote images when needed. Process: fast framing and reporting of moments; shooting unnoticed and candid to preserve the core of the story.
